The small lodge with only five bungalows, one family room and two single rooms is the ideal place to stay for anybody seeking individuality.
Namtib Desert Lodge do not provide air conditioned, super fancy hotel rooms, but an authentic Namibian luxury.
Little Hunter’s Rest
If you prefer the outdoors and wish to camp in the wilderness we offer you your individual desert and nature experience at our campsite Little Hunter’s Rest. The camp site offers five single sites spread far apart and one group site, accommodating up to 12 people. Little Hunter’s Rest provides basic ablution and cooking facilities and an absolutely undisturbed stay at the edge of the Namib desert.
Little Hunter’s Rest derives its name from the historical background of the area in which it is situated. Artefacts found under the large camelthorn trees proved that San (Bushmen) hunters rested often under the trees during their hunt.
The atmosphere of that place is indeed special, and allows you to follow the ancient way of the little hunter into the Tiras Mountains.
