Masumu River Lodge boasts spectacular views over Lake Kariba – encapsulating the western waters and characteristic islands of this area. It is all about the view at Masumu River Lodge, with each room and entertainment area boasting panoramas of Lake Kariba.

Rooms
Lodge Rooms – 9 Rooms
Nine en-suite lodges as well as two family lodges all welcome daydreaming from private verandahs and balconies. Each lodge has ceiling fans, air-conditioning, mosquito nets, beautiful views of Lake Kariba, and secure parking right beside the chalets.
Lodge – Family Rooms – 2 Rooms
There are two family units, one comprising of has 4 twin beds and the other with one double and 2 twin beds. Units consist of air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, mini bar, digital safe and complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Private verandas offer panoramic views of the lake.
CHILD POLICY:
Children of all ages are welcome.
*Children 0 – 3 years stay free of charge
* Children in a family room or occupying their own room: Children aged 4 – 12 years pay 50% of the adult rate; Children aged 13 – 17 years pay 75% of the adult rate.

The Main Lodge:
It is all about the view at Masumu River Lodge, with each room and entertainment area boasting panoramic of Lake Kariba. There are various options and spaces which welcome you to relax and surrender to your holiday – in the pool, at the bar, in the lounge or on your own private balcony. Wi-Fi is available at reception to connect with the outside world before you return to soaking in sunsets, gin and tonics and the scenery beyond.
Food:
We utilize the surrounding villages to supply fresh produce to the lodge where possible. This will facilitate empowering the local farmers and support the villages in a continuous and sustainable way.
Activities
The lodge offers a range of activities during your stay which includes: fishing on lake Kariba, beautiful sunsets cascading over the picturesque views in the surrounding area. Nine en-suite lodges as well as two family lodges all welcome daydreaming from private verandahs and balconies.
Sunset Cruise
For those who wish to remain on the lake, a sunset cruise is available to soak in more hours on the water, while soaking in the colours of the sky as day gives way to night. A Kariba sunset is truly like none-other, akin to a painting and imprinted in memory.
Half Day Town Tour

Binga is an area rich in Tongan culture, and we encourage guests to immerse in and learn about both the past and present ways of the local people. Embark on a tour with a private guide to the local museum, engaging in conversations with the local people. On return to the lodge, experience the natural hot springs which Binga offers, a unique safari excursion.
Fishing
Located on the western end of Lake Kariba’s southern shore, Binga is known for its fishing and boating. Rise with the sun to take to the lake, trying your hand at fishing on the famous Lake Kariba – an immersive experience of its waters.
