Mana Pools Safari Lodge nestles close to the National Park’s eastern boundary, woven between riverine figs and albida trees. Its thatched chalets each enjoy a view of the sweeping floodplains, as well as the mighty Zambezi River beyond, the possibility of seeing game from the comfort of your room, from dawn till dusk.
Rooms
Thatched chalet –
Each chalet has two double beds, facing outwards towards a wild vista leading to the Zambezi River. From the comfort of your bed or the privacy of your verandah, one can sit and watch wildlife wander down to drink. The rooms are wooden and spacious, blending effortlessly beneath the trees and into nature. The en-suite bathroom with free standing bath and showers for him and for her accentuate the space within the chalet. Mosquito nets frame the bed, keeping the night bugs out for a peaceful sleep.
Guest Amenities:
All guest amenities include shampoo, conditioner, foam bath, liquid gel and soaps and sourced from ecofriendly suppliers, using organic ingredients which are biodegradable, where possible.
Facilities
A giant African Mango tree takes centre stage in the main area of the lodge, reaffirming our connection with nature. The main dining area is large and open-aired, gifting privacy for guests even when full. . There is a lounge for relaxation, a deck for daydreaming and game viewing, Wi-Fi for contacting the outside world and a pool for reprieve from the African heat.
A swimming pool awaits as reprieve from the African heat, cooling off after a day of exploring the park. A dinner under African skies is the perfect way to end your day, reflections of your encounters shared with the stars.

Game Drives:
A game drive through Mana Pools National Park is a gift to the senses. Immersed beneath the Albida Forest, golden light streaming through the trees, one feels encased in magic. Mana Pools is wild – the perfect park to encounter the untamed and unpredictable in the safe presence of a professional guide, revealing its wonders as you traverse its terrain.
Game Walks:
Mana on foot is an invitation for adventure and immersion into the delicate nature of the ecosystem. Being a small park holding big treasures, Mana Pools offers much to explore, accessing the more remote locations by embarking on a walking safari. Explore the riverbanks in search of the elusive Carmine bee-eater, or walk beneath the trees along ancient animal corridors, following in the footsteps of giants.
Sundowner Cruise:
Chasing sunsets is an activity highly encouraged when in Zimbabwe. Sipping and cruising upon the Zambezi River just before dusk is a sure way to succeed in capturing an African sunset on camera and imprinted in memory.
Boat Transfer:
There is no better introduction to Mana Pools than a boat transfer from Chirundu to the lodge.Experiencing the wild surrounds from the water, witnessing life along the Zambezi Riverbank provides an understanding of the importance of its life source, for both humans and wildlife.
