Le Mirage Resort & Spa is one of the most unique establishments in the Sossusvlei area. It is situated at 21 km from the Sesriem gate to Sossusvlei. This makes it one of the lodges closest to the Sossusvlei and the ideal place to stay when you want to visit the highest dunes in the world!
Rooms
Le Mirage resort and spa offers very spacious rooms with large beds, a minibar and coffee and tea facilities. The thick rock walls of the building will keep your room nice and cold and protect you from the harsh desert outside.
Camelthorn Room – 8 Rooms
Camelthorn luxury rooms with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, safe, mini bar and coffee & tea facilities.
Located at the center building, where also the reception is located. Named after the Camelthorn tree next to the building.
Oasis Rooms – 19 Rooms
Oasis twin luxury rooms with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, safe, mini bar and coffee & tea facilities
Located at the large ‘castle’ building with the oasis inside. The pool and spa are also located at the Oasis building.
Open Tower Rooms
Located on top of the two round towers at the oasis building. Sleeping under the stars – At the Oasis building, there are two open-air rooms on top of the towers. With the dry and clean air above the Namib Desert, you will see an incredible amount of stars. Watch the Milky Way while falling asleep!
The rooms are an add-on and can not be booked separately. Although rain is very rare, you will always have your main room as a back-up. Facilities The rooms have an open-air toilet and shower. As an add-on, you can also use the facilities in your main room.

Restaurant: Le Mirage restaurant offer variety and healthy meals with a desert extra touch. Serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.Varied, healthy meals with an extra ‘desert touch’. Afternoon Tea, Coffee and Pastries served daily at the Pool Bar
Bars: open daily serving a selection of the finest wine, beer, liqueurs and spirits. Pool Bar open from 10:00 – 19:00, after that time, all drinks must be ordered from Restaurant Bar.
Mystique Spa: a variety of treatment rooms where guests can receive invigorating stress relief, rejuvenating massages, and a wide range of alternative treatments to soothe and relax.

Activities
Hot air ballooning over the Namib or Sossus Desert
One of the most wonderful experiences in the world is drifting in a hot air balloon over the majestic dunes of the Namib desert.
This adventure begins early in the morning, before sunrise, you are collected from Le Mirage and driven to the take-off area. Once the balloon is airborne, you drift silently over the dunes for about an hour. The views of the Namib Desert are exceptional. On landing (wherever the wind has taken you) there is a champagne breakfast. After the champagne breakfast, you will be brought back to the lodge. This activity is subject to weather conditions.
Sossusvlei / Sesriem
At only 21km from Le Mirage Desert Lodge and Spa, you will find one of the main attractions of Namibia: Sossusvlei!
The entrance to Sossusvlei is in Sesriem, from the gate a 60km tarred road takes you in the National Park, along the way you will see some of the worlds highest dunes, even some petrified dunes, and the Sesriem Canyon. Drive on your own, or join a guided drive from the Lodge.
Adventurous Quad-Bike tour -Go on an Adventurous Quad-Bike tour and experience the amazing nature that surrounds this lodge.
Take a drive on one of our Quad-Bikes following the trails in the desert with a guide and experience the breathtaking nature and surroundings of Le Mirage. The trails will take you to some unique spots, and our guide will inform you of the hidden secrets of the desert like the fairy circles. Your afternoon quad-bike tour will end with a striking sun-downer overlooking the Namib Desert.
You will drive by yourself, accompanied by our guide. The tour is easily accessible, so you don’t have to be an experienced driver. A Quad-Bike tour takes about 2 hours. (We regret that children younger than 12 cannot participate)
