Jackalberry tented Camp is situated in a exclusive concession inside the Nkasa Rupara NP (Mamili) situated 150km west of Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region (Caprivi) of Northen Namibia.
The Camp is situated close to the banks of the Linyanti river and the fact that there is no fence will allow large mammals and other animals to roam freely in the vicinity of the Camp. This will enhance the sense of remote wilderness and adventure for the guests who will also experience the unique for Namibia and Caprivi, Okavango Delta like environment combining wetlands, woodlands and open plains.
Rooms
The Camp offers 4 exclusive luxury tents and 1 double guide tent.
The rooms are equipped with side lamps, charging facility, in room bathroom, coffee/tea station, hot water and electricity are generated with solar power, offering a superb eco-friendly personalized safari experience. All rooms are made of customized large tents with average of 32.4 m, offering breathtaking views across the lagoons.
Facilities
The main building is build around a huge Jackalberry tree and has first and second floors that houses the reception area, dinning area, lounge and bar area. The second floor has spacious and comfortable lounge providing guests with an exceptional view of the surrounding while the ground floor hosts communal fire place for evening catch up.
Jackalberry Lodge enjoys its prime location which make a perfect base for Park experience and exploration. The lodge is located on the Linyanti river lagoons where a large population of the park’s wildlife roams freely and could be spotted from the lodge decks through the floodplains of Namibia and woodlands of Botswana just across the river.
Activities
Game Drives Game Drives head out early morning at sunrise, and late afternoon just before sunset in search of the animal species which call this place home. Keen birdwatchers will also be treated to over 430 bird species recorded in this wetland area.
Boat Cruises This is our highlight! Don’t miss the opportunity to have an exclusive cruise on the Linyanti river. This is one of the most unexplored areas of Southern Africa. Animal sighting differs from the season. Winter is the season when elephants migrate in great numbers into Namibia from Botswana.
Night Drives Test your night eyes and experience the sights and sounds of a starry filled African night whilst trying to spot some of the nocturnal species we have in the park.
