Activities
Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, has about 400.000+ inhabitants, and is located 1650 metres above sea level. For many visitors the city constitutes the gateway to Namibia, but also offers numerous sights which invite travellers to linger a while. Thanks to its locality, i.e. being surrounded by the Auas Mountains in the south, the Eros Mountains in the east, and the Khomas Hochland in the west, its climate is a most pleasant one.
The city offers you a myriad of sightseeing opportunities, entertainment options and some of the best and truly glamorous hotels for you to stay in while reveling at this fascinating city’s beauty. It is a delightful mix of old and new. Bustling curio and informal markets trade in the shadow of modern high-rise buildings; historic forts and castles overlook the city.
