The flight has a duration of ± 2hrs and 10 min covering about 630 km of which less than 20% could be seen if traveling by road. This scenic flight discovers the ancient desert deep in the heart of Namibia and the southern Skeleton Coast from the air. Tourist often regard this flight as the highlight of their holiday. Sunlit sand dunes roll and undulate, and are beautiful in a way that is not of this world. Around there is sand and ochre dunes stand sentinel against the blue sky. Add to the sand sea a low level flight along the green Kuiseb to the Kuiseb Canyon, as well along the coastline, which has its own story to tell. Listen carefully – each of the Atlantics wild waves will whisper a different story in your ear: of diamond camps, shipwrecks that rust away on the shoreline, the long wall also called wall of death. The clean golden smell of the desert on a hot day will be with you forever. Highlights: - Kuiseb Riverbed - Kuiseb Canyon - Tsondabvlei - Sossusvlei Area (7 types of dunes) - Diamond Camps - Conception Bay - Shipwrecks - Long Wall - Sandwich Harbour - Salt Works - Walvis Bay - Longbeach - Swakopmund Scenic flights from & returning to Swakopmund

The coast has its own story to tell- listen carefully, each of the Atlantic's wild waves will whisper a different story in your ear: numerous shipwrecks, which rust away on the shoreline, on its sandy beaches you’ll find many of only halfway hidden burned bones & skeletons from whales (- and unlucky sailors). We recommend an aerial view over the southern part of the coast with its dunes, lagoons and shipwrecks, as the first 300km (= 70 min flying time) of the northern coastline are flat and do not have any dunes. HOP ON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SCENIC FLIGHTS INTO THE Get a feeling what the Namibian Coastline looks like. Meet the extremes – Namib Desert & Atlantic Ocean. Catch a bird’s eye view of the “Shaunee”, a shipwreck near the “long wall” an amazing dune formation at the coastline. Wedged between the Namib sand sea and the Atlantic Ocean lies a unique coastal wetland: Sandwich Harbour – a bird’s paradise. Fly with the Flamingoes – once – and the impressions will last forever. Route: We fly along the dune belt to dune 7, past Walvis Bay International Airport, crossing the Kuiseb dry riverbed, right into the dune sea with changing dune faces and colours in yellow, ochre, mustard and magenta. Shipwreck “Shaunee” as turning point, northbound along the scenic coastline past “Lange Wand”, seal colonies, jackals etc., Sandwich Bay Lagoon, Nature Conversation area and breeding ground for flamingos, pelicans etc., a very pictures bay with its sandbars and shallow waters. Walvis Bay saltpans, Walvis Bay lagoon and harbor area, guano platform “Bird Island” and the Swakopmund beachfront. Scenic flights from & returning to Swakopmund

Long before cars, planes etc. made travel a leisure activity, large parts of the world went undiscovered, unexplored. One of the world’s last almost untouched landscape with its nomadic people is the Kaokoland. No Namibian adventure is complete without a visit to a Himba village, which give you the opportunity to become acquainted with their life style. Of the few nomadic tribes left in this world, one is found in Namibia. The Ochre People or Himba, tall graceful and lovely, who follow the seasonal rains as their ancestors have done since time out of mind, live in Kaokoland. This one day FLY-IN/ Excursion offers you a special introduction to the Himba people by means of a guided tour to one of their temporary villages. Learn about the sacred fire, the twin that stayed behind, the holy oxen and now a day is spend in Africa by people who do not have calendars. There are many questions regarding this unique people’s lifestyle. Some will remain long after a holiday to Namibia, but on the practical side the guides will introduce you to the people in the village and shows you how they live their daily lives. Photography is allowed after a customary request. To return the goodwill, they get food such as maize meal, salt and sugar. There are two options for a Himba Village visit: Opuwo and Epupa Waterfalls With both options we depart Swakopmund early morning – after breakfast.
