Add to My Itinerary
Tintswalo Safari Lodge is an exclusive 5-star safari lodge under traditional grassing, situated on the Private Manyeleti Game Reserve concession within the Greater Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
Tintswalo Safari Lodge is situated along a seasonal river bed among an ancient sycamore tree grove, and big five game viewing offer clients the ultimate luxury safari experience.
The mostly untouched reserve; shares unfenced borders the Kruger National Park to the east, the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve on the north, and the Sabi Sand Reserve on the south.
Each of these areas is renowned in their own right for excellent safari and wildlife experiences and there is almost no other area like it left in South Africa. Of the entire 22 000 hectares that comprises this luxury lodge, there is only one other concession owner on the property.
The Reserve is easily accessible via scheduled daily flights from Johannesburg, via road, and via private charter.
The Manor House is situated within the Tintswalo Concession, a mere five minute drive from the main Safari Lodge.
Children are ideally accommodated at Manor House in the special family section. This includes one main suite, a TV lounge, and a children’s room next door – sharing a bathroom. We are also able to add an extra bed into the upstairs suite.
Manor House is fenced, so children are able to play freely in the garden. The swimming pool is also protected by a net.
The Presidential Suite is better suited to older children. There is a TV, Playstation, and swimming pool. We are also able to add an extra bed in the Presidential Suite for an additional child. The Presidential Suite has its own private chef, who is adept at preparing any meal request for younger (and often fussier) palates.
The 5-star air-conditioned suites are situated along the banks of the seasonal Nwaswitsontso River, providing supreme comfort, privacy, and an opportunity for effortless birding, as well as the chance to view a large variety of big game from the privacy of each unit. The indoor/outdoor shower leads off from the spacious bathroom which opens out onto the deck. Luxuriate in a private plunge pool, or just relax on a lounger under the African sun.
Every luxury suite at the Tintswalo Safari Lodge has an extra length double or twin bed, en-suite bathroom, air conditioners, overhead fans, mosquito nets, and private deck with an intimate plunge pool overlooking a game-friendly river bed and magnificent sycamore groves.
Samuel and Florence Baker romantically traveled together through the African Wilds, an unusual occurence for their era. This suite has a romantic feel with a beautifully hand carved four-poster bed.

Game Drives, Walks and other activities
Game viewing at Tintswalo takes place on foot or in individually seated open Landrovers.
The vehicles are equipped with spot lights for night viewing, radios for communication with the lodge and other guides and of course mosquito repellent. Individual blankets are always provided for the night chill.
Walks in the reserve are guided through the ever changing environment of the African bush. This experience allows the guest the opportunity to come away with information on wildlife, nature enlightenment and insight into the local Shangaan traditions; this is only obtainable with an 'on the ground' experience.
Private 4x4 Safari
We have found that many guests have formed an interest in certain specialized areas from birds & trees to elephant, lion & photography. In order for those guests to devote more attention to such interests, we are able to offer the use of a private safari vehicle. Subject to availability, we can arrange a private safari vehicle for the duration of your stay.
There is an additional charge for this service. Please contact us prior.
