Set in the breath-taking, untouched wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, Lolebezi is the latest property in the African Bush Camps family and will undoubtedly be one of the most spectacular.
Set on five hectares of protected wilderness, the lodge has been designed to make the most of the one kilometre of private river frontage. Waking up with the majestic Zambezi River flowing just in front of your room is a truly exceptional experience!
The Lower Zambezi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Famous for its leopard population and elephant herds, this amazing destination is best experienced on foot with one of African Bush Camps’ experienced guides. Walking through the towering acacia forests, searching for Africa’s famous wildlife is simply one of life’s unbeatable adventures.

The lodge is fully airconditioned, with a private Plunge pool and thatched Sala on the river
The name Lolobezi is derived from a combination of the owners’ son’s name “Lole” and “Zambezi”, underlining the importance that is placed on family and the amazing experiences waiting to be shared.
ACCESS
Jeki Airstrip: June – October: 2 hour flight from Livingstone International Airport or a 30 minute flight from Lusaka International Airport landing at Jeki Airstrip with a 15 minute game drive transfer to camp.
Royal Airstrip: All year round: 30 minute flight from Lusaka International Airport landing at Royal Airstrip with a 1 hour 30 minute boat transfer to camp.
Chirundu: All year round: 3 hour boat transfer to camp.
Rooms
You can expect six superior suites and one double family unit. Each suite has a private plunge pool, perfect for whiling away the hot African afternoons, G&T in hand, watching the great river flow slowly past. For those looking for even more relaxation, there is an on-site spa with qualified treatment specialists, and a yoga deck.

Activities
Walking Safaris
Away from the comfort of a safari vehicle, all your senses are suddenly awakened when you are on foot. Our walking guides will accompany you through the bush while teaching you about animal spoor, interesting insects, plants and the geology of the area.
Game Drives
Lead by one of our experienced guides, you’ll see magnificent wildlife indigenous to the area. Your guide will show you the hidden spots best for game viewing and give you an insider’s knowledge. With years of experience our African Bush Camps guides are known for being some of the best in the business.
The Lower Zambezi River is the perfect setting for an adventurous canoeing safari. Paddle along the tranquil waters of the Zambezi River and take in the pristine scenery of Mana Pools National Park from a unique angle. On your canoeing safari you’ll get the chance to see wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and incredible birdlife.
Catch and Release Fishing
Try your hand at fishing from the banks of the Zambezi River. Fish for tiger, bream (tilapia), vundu, and many other species on a catch and release basis.
